The summer’s coming to an end and a new academic year is kicking off. For Bournemouth this means an influx of over 20,000 students studying at BU, AUB, the College and our town’s many language schools.
Here at Lansdowne we love students and if you’re coming to study in Bournemouth this month we can’t wait to welcome you to our town! There are loads of ways you can get stuck in here, whether it’s helping with youth work, playing music, or making coffee, there’s a place for you in our church family.
Most of our students are part of our Holdenhurst Road congregation which meets in Bournemouth University’s Executive Business Centre at 10:30 each Sunday. We have a special student welcome service here on Sunday 25th September and if you’re new to Bournemouth we’d love to see you there.
One of the things all freshers miss is good home cooking, so we run student lunches after church each Sunday during term time. The food is fantastic and it’s a great way for you to get to know others at Lansdowne Church.
Brand new this term is an event for students, 20s and 30s called Life. Join us every Monday, 19:00, at Naked Coffee on Christchurch Road to connect with others and find out what the Bible has to say about life.
There’s loads going on during this term so why not join our Facebook group to keep up to date join here.
More than anything we want you to grow closer to God during your time at university and we’d love to be a part of that journey.
