As we are slowly becoming more accustomed to the restrictions of the present Coronavirus crisis it is encouraging to hear of the church activities and ministries that are managing to continue or at least keep in contact through the available technology.
One such event we will be endeavouring to hold on Thursday evening is Prayer Central. As you can understand it will not be the usual format but will be in effect a very large Zoom conference call. To access this call please click on the link below and then you will be taken through the necessary steps. It may be that if you have not used Zoom before then you will need to load the application onto your computer, phone or laptop. You will be taken through these steps when you click on the link below
We can have up to 100 participants in the event, which should be sufficient but apologies in advance if you are unable to join. Attached to this E mail are the main prayer points that will be used during the Zoom call. It is also noted that there will be a national recognition of our health care workers at 8pm, as was the case last week, therefore will we commence prayer central 8:15pm and will be concluded by 9:00pm.
I should add that Sunday’s service will again be at 10:30am and the instructions for joining us can be found below.
If you know someone who might wish to join the Prayer Central or Church service events but does not have access to the internet then there are ways they can be included as explained in the video which can be accessed via this link
I would also like to provide advance notice of an important event, the thanksgiving service for Ceri Brown, which will be held 4pm on Tuesday 7th April. This will be a live stream event accessible via the usual link. Further details will be issued closer to the date.
I do pray that you are keeping safe and that you are getting the support you need. The church has put in place a volunteer scheme, Lansdowne Church Help, to provide basic support, such as shopping, essential transport etc, to the congregation of Lansdowne Church. If you have any specific need then please contact the Church Office.

Joining us on Lansdowne Live is as easy as 1,2,3:
- Go to https://lansdowne.churchonline.org/
- 2. Press the video play button (the red button with the white triangle inside). This will connect you to the service.
- 3. If you like, on the right hand side, enter a nickname (NOT your email address), so something like Fred or Freda. Click the ‘Go’ button. Then you will be able to see the Church Online team chatting to anyone else that has clicked that ‘Go’ button. You can still watch the service, but it is a great way to find out more information, ask questions, ask for prayer and be encouraged… don’t be shy, we are a friendly bunch!
