Gift Day Response

May 28th, 2019 by Laura Wood

Dear Friends

It’s a joy to be able to share with you the good news that as a result of our Gift and Pledge Day last Sunday £935,000 has been raised towards our published target of £1.8 million.

Donations and forms are still being received into the Office and we intend to keep the response window open for a few more weeks. So, if you are intending to give to the Building Project there is time and your gift is still needed.

The Trustees are grateful to God and to all who have given generously and sacrificially. £935,000 is no small figure and now represents a total given or pledged, over the last 6 years, of approaching £3.9M.

We recognize the need to address the outstanding shortfall and maintain our prayer and commitment. However, we now have the resources available to proceed with obtaining market prices from Contractors, ultimately to recommencing construction.

The sacrificial giving demonstrated by many is an encouragement from the Lord to keep trusting Him as we move forward. As a consequence, there is a new momentum upon which we want to build through ongoing prayer and active faith.

We are much further up the mountain than a week ago, yet we still have some way to go. But to God be the glory for that as in everything.

Yours on behalf of the Trustees

Peter Baker
