Each day we’ll be focusing on the prayers of Paul. Each morning there’ll be a short video focusing on a passage from Paul’s letters, to shape our praying, and we’ll be meeting formally and informally across the fortnight to share food together and pray.
September 1st marks the beginning of our fortnight of Prayer called Immeasurably More. This is a key time in the church year, when we put most of our regular activities on pause to focus together on prayer. We’re reminded again that “unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labour in vain” (Ps 127:1). One of the most powerful ways that we express our dependence on God is to pray, confident that he “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Eph 3:20).
You won’t want to miss our all-age prayer celebration from 9:30am on Sunday 1st. Woodbury Avenue will be packed full of creative and engaging prayer activities for all ages and stages! There’ll be loads of ways to pray together, whether you’re a toddler, an OAP, or somewhere in between. At 10:30 we’ll gather together to praise God and hear from his Word. This will be a significant event, as it’s the first time the whole church family has been together for several years.
In the afternoon, we’d encourage you to pray and eat together with others from church, perhaps in your Small Groups or serving teams. One of our Small Groups is staying on site to picnic and pray over lunch. Do bring your lunch if you have no other plans and would like to join them. Our evening service will also be held at Woodbury Avenue at 6:30pm and will be followed by an extended time of prayer and praise.
Throughout the rest of the fortnight there will be many opportunities for us to come together to pray. Please [see the back of Lansdowne Life / follow this link] for further details.

**This event is for all-ages and we are looking forward to praying across the generations. However, parents/guardians are reminded that they are responsible for their children throughout.
