Look who’s coming on home assignment!

March 22nd, 2018 by Lansdowne Church

Da, Ol, Stephen (17) and Ashley (10) are coming home on 11th April 2018 and we will see them in the morning services on 15th April. They have been serving the Lord in Asia reaching out to minority ethnic groups and developing Christian Schools for primary education.

Their last term of service, four years, has brought many challenges and blessings so they are in need of rest, refreshment and re-equipping.
They will be living in Bournemouth but their assignments could involve travel throughout the UK.

Their time will include reporting to churches concerning their ministry, participating in the mobilisation work for OMF, debriefing and reassessing their work and future, training, retreat, reading and raising financial support. They will also be very much involved in church life here.

They will need time to rest, have holidays, enjoy time as a family and reunite with their own family, friends and supporting churches.
The Mission Council will be very involved but we hope that everybody will help and be blessed by contributing to make this family really feel back at home.
So what can YOU do?
On Sunday 8th April bring one item of tinned, dried or non-perishable food to contribute to a grocery box for the family’s arrival. Bring to the Welcome table.
When you see them at church services or events introduce yourselves and make them welcome.
Renew or make friendships, invite them to a meal or social gathering.
Pray for their well being and renewal for further service.
We all have a part to play!
