Child Evangelism Fellowship - December 2023

CEF aims to “tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.”(Psalm 78v4).

CEF is a Bible-centred, interdenominational, worldwide organisation, composed of born-again believers.

Their mission is to evangelise girls and boys with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple those who profess faith in Jesus and establish them in a local church so that they can grow in their Christian faith and be confident to share it with other children.

DAVID COOK continues to serve God in leadership roles with the trustees of the National Committee of Britain and the CEF Europe Association. He represents ministry leaders of CEF Europe on the International Board of Trustees at CEF HQ in Warrenton, Missouri, USA.

CEF exists to build the local church, partnering with local churches to strengthen and broaden their outreach to children and young people, through training, direct ministry and support with literature and digital resources.

Since 2021 CEF Britain has trained ten groups and individuals from UK churches with the 4-week online EQUIP course, freely available and designed to help people teach Biblical truth to children. Currently CEF Britain is providing online training for almost twenty church workers in Britain with Teaching Children Effectively (TCE1), a 30-hour course to prepare church workers better to teach Bible truth to children and to counsel children, who are ready to trust Christ as their Saviour, for salvation.

CEF is a truly global ministry. Around the world in 2022, as we all emerged from the covid19 pandemic, 3,586 CEF workers reached more than 19 million children with the Gospel. More than 6 million children trusted Christ for salvation! In our region of Europe, we reached more than 1.4 million children. CEF aims to reach 100 million children per year by 2032.

In Britain, there are 13 workers, including 3 part-time office workers, all of whom are supported by more than 30 volunteers. Three workers completed their training in December 2022 and are raising their support team of prayer partners and financial donors. Pray that God will raise up National Directors to lead the growing ministry in England, Scotland and Wales. Laraine and David represented CEF Britain at the CEF Europe Leaders' Conference in Istanbul in September 2023.

Praise God for enabling the International Board of Trustees to work harmoniously with the new President of CEF over the past 18 months. Praise God that USA visas were granted to Jeremiah and his wife, so that they can live in the USA and share his vision and passion to grow the ministry worldwide. Pray that he will continue to inspire thousands of workers to reach millions more children, helping them discover who Jesus is and entrusting their lives to Him.

Praise God for the training of workers all around the world as they prepare to present the Bible message of salvation to millions of children through the 2023 Christmas Party Club programme, “Joy to the World”. Pray that many children will turn to trust Christ as their Saviour and go on to serve Him with their lives.
