Why Membership?

Church Membership

At Lansdowne you do not have to become a Church Member to be involved in the church. But it is a step that we would encourage – not just for the few, but for everyone. It is an opportunity to identify yourself as part of the local church family, as we serve and worship our great God together.

Why Membership?

• Commitment to God and to each other.

• Likeminded beliefs and desires for the local church.

• Using gifts and talents serving God with support and accountability.

• Opportunity to be involved in making decisions.

“So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5

Becoming a Church Member

1. Fill in the application form at bottom of this page and read the details of the formal documents of the Church charity below:

2. The Church will be told you are applying for membership and then you will be interviewed by two church members.

3. The Church Trustees will then consider your application, and if approved, will let you know and notify the other members with a brief summary of your Christian story.

4. New members are then welcomed into membership at a communion service.
