Update following our Vision Season

Those who were with us on Sunday 23rd July, or watched the morning service on line, will already be aware of the update shared following the Vision Season at Lansdowne Church.

Serve More

Since the introduction of the serving@lansdownechurch.uk email we have received over 40 requests from people asking to serve in various areas and ministries. The emails have been responded to quickly, linking people with the ministry leaders, and many have met to discover more and started serving. This email facility will continue to be available so that everyone can access the easiest way to explore serving at Lansdowne Church.

Give More

We are greatly encouraged by the continued financial support that our church receives. Many have reviewed their regular monthly giving, and in doing  so, have increased their own individual support.

We have received during our Vision Season, commitments so far of £25,000 extra each year going forward, and also one-off gifts of over £50,000. This means that we will now be able to plan ahead and review our spending on staff, ministries and facilities for 2024 ... Thank you.

The opportunity to review, commit and give, of course, remains open.

Pray More

There are many opportunities to gather together for prayer at Lansdowne Church, and it is encouraging to be involved in all that God has planned for us. Individual, ministry based and small group prayer is of great importance too, so our commitments made in this season may be unseen by others.

If you would like to join with others then:

(i) Prayer Central is on the First Thursday of each month, at 19:30 in Room 2

(ii) Mission Prayer Central is on the Third Thursday of each month, at 19:30 via Zoom;

(iii) Pre-service prayer happens each Sunday, at 08:30 via Zoom.

Plus, to signpost that we are hoping to hold mid-week Prayer times during the day, on the weeks when there is no Prayer Central.

Please contact the church office ... office@lansdownechurch.uk if you would like the details or links.

We are reminded continually that it is our God who gives ‘immeasurably more’, and how we are running to catch-up with all that He is doing amongst us. So it is to Him that we gladly give all thanks and commitment, trusting to be used as He pleases and directs (1 Chron 29v14).

With love and thanks

Martyn
