In Touch Harvest Update
Helping the Homeless and Disadvantaged
Homelessness is devastating, dangerous and isolating.
The average age of death for people experiencing homelessness is 46 for men and 42 for women.
People sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence.
Homeless people are over 9 times more likely to take their own life than the general population (crisis.org.uk).
We are not here to judge, but to help by sharing Christ’s love in practical ways.
Every one of our guests are unique, loved individuals, each with a story to tell. We meet every Tuesday and Friday lunchtime at Lansdowne Church in Bournemouth. A hot meal with tea, coffee and squash is served in a comfortable, safe, warm and caring environment. At the start of every session just before we serve food, we have a reading from the Bible, followed by prayer.
Here’s how you can help us serve our guests:
Pray - Join with us in praying to see lives transformed.
Donate Goods - Buy some food/other items and bring them into church so that we can restock our store cupboard. (see list below)
Give Financially - Support us financially with regular giving or one-off gifts. You can give online (please select the In Touch fund). Alternatively, there are Donation Boxes in the church foyer.
