Sunday Service Ministries
The various teams and ministries required to deliver a Sunday morning church service.
Welcome Team
The Welcome Team is the first point of contact as people walk into the building. They assist people in many ways such as answering questions, directing them and helping people to feel safe. When needed, these people act as fire marshals.
Worship Team
Lansdowne’s music team serves the Church, as we encounter God in worship and build one another up. With four regular bands and a team of additional musicians and singers, we lead worship at Sunday services and other Church events.
Info Point
The Info Point exists to give everyone in the Church a friendly welcome, to find out more about church life and to be able to ask any questions.
Prayer Team
The Prayer Team is there to pray with anyone after our Sunday services at the Prayer Point - whether that’s to follow up something from the sermon, a situation they may be facing or simply just to pray more generally.
Venue Coordination
The Venue Coordinator (VC) has overall responsibility for all services and events and, along with whoever is leading the event/service, is the main point of contact.
Refreshments
The Refreshments Team serves tea and coffee before or after our services on Sundays, which allows space and time for people to encourage each other and get to know others in the Church. This includes preparation, serving and clear-up - all vital parts of enabling this to happen.
Pastoral Support
The pastoral care team offer a listening ear, prayer and both practical and emotional support. Pastoral support on Sundays is provided by the Ministers, Elders, Ministry Leaders and Pastoral Care Team. Pastoral Care is also provided throughout the week as well.
Communion
The Communion team enables the practical aspects for each service of communion. Preparation of the elements takes two people about an hour; up to twelve people are needed to help distribute the elements during the service and then a team of four clears up and washes the glasses after each service.
Service Delivery
Technical support for the audio, livestream, display presentation and lighting.
Data Projection
The Data Projection (DP) Team controls the visual display of song words and other content on the screens in services for the Church.
Livestream Camera
The Livestream Camera Team are responsible for the cameras that allow us to livestream our services and events online. This team works very closely with all of our other technical teams that make Sundays happen.
Public Address
The Public Address (PA) Team provides technical support to events where amplified audio, voice, or music is required.
Online Church
The Online Church Team provides an engaging and interactive element to the online livestream by monitoring and participating in the online chat. This enables those who are unable to join us in-person a sense of community.
Kids & Youth
We run groups for 0-18s during the Sunday morning services throughout term-time.
Our dedicated team of leaders and helpers are trained, DBS checked and have a real heart for young people. Find out more about our groups below:
